Department of Occupational and Environmental Health

 The Shandong University’s Department of Occupational and Environmental Health consists of two disciplines: Occupational Health/Occupational Medicine, and Environmental Health.

Our mission is to establish a regional education and research hub with a national and international reputation in the field of Occupational and Environmental Health.Our educational philosophy is to train the students to be leaders in preventive medicine. The Department is appointed by the Chinese National Health and Family Planning Commission as a national Occupational Health supervisors-training base.The Department currently employs 4 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, and 2 Assistant Professors. It delivers high quality undergraduate and postgraduate training in:

· Occupational Health and Medicine

· Environmental Health

· Radiation Protection

Our graduates have been awarded academic excellence at both university and provincial levels.The Department also confers PhD and Master research degrees. Our research has a strong focus on evaluating and studying the effects of environmental hazards (physical, chemical, biological and social-physiological) on health, their pathogenesis, and establishing novel prediction system for the prevention and control of key environmental health problems. Our research team leads numerous provincial and national research projects in Occupational and Environmental Health.
